With its themes of renewal, light, and nature, spring has long been an inspiration for artists. From the trumpets that awaken Bach's "wintry earth" to Copland's famous portrait of Appalachia, this playlist takes us through 250 years of spring celebrations. Featuring some of Lincoln Center's most beloved artists, including The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, the New York Philharmonic, the Metropolitan Opera, the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra, the Takács Quartet, Joshua Bell, Mark Padmore, Anne Schwanewilms, and many others.
