The Cleveland Orchestra Joins Lincoln Center Festival

Nigel Redden, Director of Lincoln Center Festival, and The Cleveland Orchestra’s Executive Director, Gary Hanson, announce a new multi-year residency for the Orchestra at the Festival, July 13–17, 2011. Four concerts led by Music Director Franz Welser-Möst juxtapose Anton Bruckner symphonies with works by John Adams. The Orchestra's residency is the Festival’s first multi-year commitment with a visiting orchestra.

In 2013 and 2015, fully-staged productions of the Vienna State Opera are brought to the Festival, accompanied by The Cleveland Orchestra performing in the pit of the David H. Koch Theater.
