Since 2000, Jonathan Nott has been chief conductor of the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, with whom he has toured extensively and recorded several acclaimed CDs. From 1997–2002 he was principal conductor of the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra, and from 2000–03 of Ensemble intercontemporain in Paris. He returns regularly to both as guest conductor, and also guest conducts other major orchestras throughout Europe and the United States.

Widely acclaimed both as a key figure in the new music world and a uniquely significant musical voice in repertoire of the past, pianist Pierre-Laurent Aimard enjoys an internationally celebrated career. He performs throughout the world each season with its most significant orchestras and conductors, and has an extensive discography, including the recent Bach: Art of Fugue and Hommage à Messiaen.

John Schaefer is the host of WNYC’s innovative music talk show "Soundcheck," and has also hosted and produced WNYC’s radio series "New Sounds" since 1982. He has written extensively about music, including the book New Sounds: A Listener’s Guide to New Music; the Cambridge Companion to Singing: World Music; and the TV program "Bravo Profile: Bobby McFerrin."
