  1. A podcast is media that is automatically updated and downloaded to your computer or mobile device. You can learn more about podcasts on the Apple site by viewing iPod 101: Plug into Podcasts.
  2. iTunes and other popular aggregators allow you to subscribe to your favorite content and receive regular updates automatically. Each software application has its own instructions about how to handle the transfer of content to your mobile device so you should refer to the specified manufacturers' recommendations as well as the settings in the application's preferences.

  3. To convert a Quicktime movie to a MPEG-4 movie for viewing on your iPod:
    • Highlight the “Welcome From Rob Kapilow!” installment.
    • From the Advanced menu, choose Convert Selection for iPod.
    • Tunes will create a MPEG-4 copy of the podcast in your Movies library.
    • You can now sync the MPEG-4 with your iPod.
