Musicians Emergency Fund (MEF) features two star pianists, Adam Golka and Orion Weiss, in music by Brahms and Saint-Saëns, with assisting artists, at Alice Tully Hall on Sunday, June 3, at 3:00 P.M.

 

This year’s first Junior/Senior Concert by MEF will open with keyboard works of Brahms (for both two and four hands) and culminate in Saint-Saëns’ musical entertainment Carnival of the Animals, with piano stars Adam Golka and Orion Weiss joined by assisting artists Alexi Kenney and Ben Russell (violins), Cindy Wu (viola),Nicholas Canellakis (cello), Sam Suggs (double bass), Joanna Wu (flute), Romie de Guise-Langlois (clarinet) and Scott Christian (percussion). Carnival of the Animals will be interspersed with brief narrated poems, written for this purpose in the mid-twentieth century by Ogden Nash.  

 

Tickets $25; while supply lasts, complimentary tickets to seniors, students and military, with proper identification. Complimentary tickets will be distributed on the day of the concert.
