THIS EVENT HAS PASSED

Lincoln Center, in collaboration with Healing Arts, is proud to host the World Health Organization’s Arts & Health lead, Christopher Bailey, for an experiential conversation on how the arts can promote health outcomes and well-being. Bailey, a former stage actor trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, will perform a signature monologue The Vanishing Point, a vivid and gripping story of his journey into blindness, and what he discovered about perception, empathy, and the healing power of the arts, for individuals and communities. Immediately afterwards, he will then engage in a panel discussion and conversation with the audience, featuring Gary Padmore, Director of Education at the New York Philharmonic, and Dr. Carlos Rodriguez Perez, Director of Clinical Operations at Kingsboro Psychiatric Hospital. The panel will be moderated by esteemed author, researcher, and professor Dr. Nisha Sajnani, founding co-director of the Arts + Health @ NYU and chair of the NYU Creative Arts Therapies Consortium.
