New York Philharmonic contrabassoonist and bassoonist Arlen Fast — who has advanced the contrabassoon for modern players around the world through extensive research and development — uses his uncanny knowledge of music and science, as well as his MacGyver-like resources, to retrofit his instrument for Jay Alan Yim's NY Philharmonic Commission "neverthesamerivertwice," which will receive its world premiere in the final CONTACT! series of the season.
CONTACT is made possible with generous support from The Mary Flagler Cary Charitable Trust. Support also provided by The Amphion Foundation.
