ACCESS-A-RIDE:

Access-a-Ride is a low-cost car/van service for individuals who have a disability. An alternative is Accessible Dispatch, a service that dispatches one of New York City’s wheelchair-accessible taxicabs directly to your pick-up location in Manhattan.

Campus Pick-up/Drop-off Locations

Drop-off/Pick-up can be anywhere on public streets. The designated Access-A-Ride location is 20 Lincoln Center Plaza, on 62nd Street near the corner of Columbus and adjacent to the Koch Theater.

For the Met , LCT, and Concourse Drop-Off/Pick-Up: Access-A-Ride is unable to go onto the Concourse level. Accessible entrances for the Met and LCT are on the Concourse level. A work around is to call Access-a-Ride bookings and speak to a supervisor 24 to 48 hours prior to the trip. The supervisor will issue a preapproval for patron to call “Accessible Dispatch” at 311 or 646.599.9999. The patron will arrange and pay out of pocket for a pre-vetted taxi or car service, but will be reimbursed for the fare.

For Plaza, Out of Doors, and Midsummer Nights Swing: The ideal drop off would be 62nd street between Columbus and Amsterdam, but as there is no physical street address, we suggest using the 63rd and Columbus Access-a-Ride stop, so that patrons can use the Koch portico as shelter from weather while waiting.

For the David Rubenstein Atrium: The best address to use is 1881 Broadway which is the AAA building, home to LCPA satellite offices. It is directly adjacent to the Atrium’s Broadway entrance.
