Las Cafeteras seamlessly fuse traditional Afro-Mexican music from Veracruz, modern rhythms, and lyrically rich storytelling to create a fresh Urban Folk sound from the streets of East Los Angeles. Playing a remix of traditional Son Jarocho sounds, they add Afro-Caribbean marimbol and cajón, poetry in English and Spanglish, and eclectic instrumentation to deliver inspiring lyrics that document stories of a community seeking love and justice.
