The perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon, listening to Jeffrey Kahane and the Philharmonic perform one of Haydn’s grandest symphonies and Respighi’s Botticelli Triptych, which translates into music the Renaissance painter’s colorful canvases, including “The Birth of Venus.” The concert opens with Kahane joining Philharmonic musicians in a Brahms masterpiece, and closes with a lively Q & A.
