There is no better champion of the clarinet today than Martin Fröst, whose performances achieve a rare blend of lyrical depth, technical brilliance, and joyful spirit. For this recital, Fröst explores one of the great masterpieces of the clarinet repertoire and Brahms’s final chamber work: the sunlit Sonata in E-flat major, in a program that also includes Poulenc and Bartók.
