Have a minute? Take a well-deserved break and enjoy an interactive dance lesson—no dancing shoes required. Join us for our second Dance Break featuring simple salsa steps. Drawing from its Cuban and African roots, salsa came into its own in New York City in the 1960’s. With influences from Puerto Rican culture and Latin America, it is a culmination of various rhythms and musical elements. Specific salsa styles have evolved to reflect the different regions in which the dance is celebrated.

If you’re feeling brave, share your salsa moves with us on social media using the hashtags #LincolnCenter and #DanceBreak.
