Enter into the glorious company of Mozart and composer Arvo Pärt, whose timeless music, including Te Deum, Cantus in Memory of Benjamin Britten, and Mozart-Adagio, is intertwined with Mozart’s eternal Requiem to evoke ritual, healing, and light. Director Elkhanah Pulitzer, “fearless in [her] dramatic imagination” (San Francisco Chronicle), stages a sublime experience moving from the almost imperceptible sound of inward grief to an all-encompassing communal embrace of transcendence, illumination, and possibility. Louis Langrée conducts the Festival Orchestra and stellar vocal soloists for this premiere production choreographed by Chanel DaSilva.
