Art, expression, pride, and protest are the soul of this evening of music and poetry that brings together an array of essential voices from Latinx communities. Festival founder and “roots radical” Alynda Segarra of Hurray for the Riff Raff (Guardian, U.K.) shares the stage with Young Lords poet activist Felipe Luciano, one of the inspirations behind her latest album, The Navigator, plus son jarocho fusion band Las Cafeteras, ruminative electronic artist Helado Negro, fearless sonic adventurer Xenia Rubinos, and spoken word stars La Bruja and Bonafide Rojas.
