Facing the entrance to Alice Tully Hall at West 65th Street and Broadway, this rising bank of steps invites passersby to sit, relax, and people watch. The Grandstand is the locale for a wide variety of free public performances during warmer months. These include musical shows and marching parade events from Lincoln Center Out of Doors in August, and concerts in the spring by Lincoln Center’s Young Music Makers series, which brings hundreds of middle and high school student musicians to the Lincoln Center campus for dozens of free performances on its outdoor plazas. All of Lincoln Center’s outdoor spaces are equipped with Wi Fi access.
