In 2000, John Eliot Gardiner led the Monteverdi Choir and English Baroque Soloists in an extraordinary musical odyssey: performing all of Bach’s extant cantatas in honor of the 250th anniversary of the composer’s death. Comprising 90 concerts across 15 countries, the monumental project was captured for this documentary, The Bach Cantata Pilgrimage—an inspiring homage to the enduring genius of Bach.
