The American Classical Orchestra presents an evening featuring the Overture to Carl Maria von Weber’s Romantic opera Oberon, inspired by the tale of the fairy king. Swedish composer Franz Berwald’s rarely heard Symphony No. 2, celebrated for its soaring melodies, will receive its U.S. premiere and American debut on period instruments. The evening concludes with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 4, continuing the orchestra’s commemoration of the composer’s death bicentenary.
Where artists and audiences connect
Be moved by the arts this Winter
Start the new year with boundary-pushing theater at Under the Radar, New York’s citywide festival of bold, experimental performance from around the world and down the street, with select works on our stages. Then step into new worlds with Lincoln Center Immersive, where art and technology meet.
Encounters that bring you closer, all season long
Each Lincoln Center Presents series and festival delves deeply into one art form, one body of work, or one theme through performance. This year, we invite you to spend the season with groundbreaking trumpeter, composer, educator, and visionary founder of Jazz at Lincoln Center, Wynton Marsalis. And in January, we bring dance home with NYC-based choreographers at the Lincoln Center Contemporary Dance Festival. Explore all Series and Festivals.
