V is a Tony Award-winning playwright, activist, performer, and author of The Vagina Monologues. Dr. Ruiz' research at Columbia University focuses on racial literacy in teacher education, Black girl literacies, and Black and Latinx male high school students. Idrissa Simmonds is a poet, essayist, fiction writer, and editor, and leads writing workshops through the New York Writers Coalition.
