From July to September, Mahogany L. Browne is Lincoln Center’s first ever poet-in-residence, curating monthly virtual and in-person events in a residency entitled “We Are The Work”—an artistic call to recharge and unite towards justice within our communities.

July 10 marks the opening kickoff of Browne’s residency, one that encourages conversation, reflection, and community engagement. From 5:30–7:30 pm, audiences are invited to experience a live, artistic outdoor event that takes place across the Lincoln Center campus, culminating on Hearst Plaza. Enjoy musical performances by a solo violinist at Sunken Plaza (West 65th Street and Broadway) at 5:30, youth slam poets on West 65th Street and the Paul Milstein Reflecting Pool on Hearst Plaza at 6:00, and jams from DJ Reborn before and after Browne takes the mainstage at 6:30 pm for a poetry reading with special guests.

Performers include: Russell Craig, Rico Frederick, Mylez Gittens, Rachel Eliza Griffiths, Eboni Hogan, Caits Meissner, Migz, And The Supremacy Project x Michael Boyd. Live performances by DJ Reborn, Mahogany L. Browne & Friends
