The Metropolitan Opera Summer HD Festival

The Metropolitan Opera’s free Summer HD Festival, first presented in 2009, returns with screenings of productions from the company’s Peabody and Emmy Award–winning The Met: Live in HD series, as well as a screening of the documentary The Opera House. The festival offers both long-time opera lovers and newcomers a chance to see and hear some of the Met's greatest-hit productions and opera's biggest stars. The screenings will be shown outdoors in Damrosch Park from August 27–September 6.

The Summer HD Festival is generously supported by The Robert W. Wilson Charitable Trust.

The Met: Live in HD series is made possible by a generous grant from its founding sponsor Neubauer Family Foundation. Digital support of The Met: Live in HD is provided by Bloomberg Philanthropies. The Met: Live in HD series is supported by Rolex.

All guests (ages 2+) are required to wear a face covering, regardless of vaccination status. In addition, all guests (ages 12 and over) will be required to provide proof of full vaccination OR a negative COVID-19 test, taken within 72 hours of the event. For greater detail, please click here
