Presented in collaboration with the México Now Festival

Tucson's Orkesta Mendoza brings the desert to The Dance Floor for an evening of expansive Latine musical influence. Founded by singer and guitarist Sergio Mendoza—who also performs with Calexico—as a one-off tribute to mambo king Pérez Prado, Orkesta Mendoza has since evolved into a broader exploration of Latine identity and sound. Whether you want to move to indie rock-influenced mambo and merengue, or groove to ranchera and cumbia with a psychedelic twist, Orkesta Mendoza has the soundtrack for a unique night out, under the stars at Josie Robertson Plaza. Orkesta Mendoza's performance will be held in partnership with México Now Festival, an independent festival based in NYC dedicated to celebrating contemporary Mexican culture.
