Dance to the double beat of cumbia music at Summer for the City’s silent disco curated by the Brooklyn Cumbia Festival and spun by DJ Tenosh. Tenosh is part of an international niche community of vinyl collectors and DJs who specialize in collecting music from Latin America, Jamaica, and the U.S. during periods of social unrest. He’s performed across Latin America, Europe, Asia and domestically in the U.S. "Noche Romantica," founded in California, features a mix of Chicano oldies, boleros, cumbias, rancheras, and norteños.

About The Brooklyn Cumbia Festival
The Brooklyn Cumbia Festival celebrates Cumbia music from its Afro-Indigenous origins in Colombia to its modern forms across Latin America, the U.S. and beyond. The festival takes place in community gardens, public parks, and iconic NYC venues with live bands, DJs, music workshops, dancing, drinks, and artisanal crafts. Produced and founded in 2023 by One Whale’s Tale, a creative arts company led by Ellpetha Tsivicos and Camilo Quiroz-Vazquez.
