Join us for a panel with the spectacular designers Mickalene Thomas, Lutfi Janania, Reza Bezjaht, Raja Ghanta, Virgil Ortiz, Gary Gunn, and Skin, as they discuss designing The Dream Machine’s Afrofuture Garden, pushing the boundaries of art and technology. Together, these artists created an Afrofuturist garden world for audiences to meet the AI-powered humanoid robot Bina48. A project of the Terasem Movement Foundation, Bina48 is the only social robot inspired, created, and programmed with mind files from an African American woman, Bina Rothblatt. Discover the past, engage with the present, and imagine the future!
