THIS EVENT HAS PASSED

Brooklyn’s Mahogany L. Browne, a prolific writer and avid advocate for public art, is Lincoln Center’s inaugural poet-in-residence. Browne has written works of fiction, theater, critical essays, edited six anthologies, and authored another half-dozen poetry collections. For her Seen, Sound, Scribe series, Browne curates thought-provoking and politically driven evenings of spoken word, spirited conversation, and presentations of new work. Tonight's program features talks and readings with three rising stars of the literary world: Pushcart-nominated author and one of the premiere live poets in the country, Aaron Samuels; performer, educator, and a curator/host of Brooklyn Slam and Nuyorican Poet's Café, Jive Poetic; and journalist, playwright, and performance poet Caroline Rothstein.
