Presented in collaboration with New York Public Library for the Performing Arts

A little boy spends time with his Paati, Tamil grandmother. One of the things that bring them closer are Paati’s saris. They spend their day together, and the colorful, swirling fabric surrounds their adventures as they cook, shop, and dance. Choreographer and Cultural Storyteller Preeti Vasudevan brings My Paati's Saris by Jyoti Rajan Gopal alive in a special storytime event.

Bring your family and friends to listen to a story that comes alive with Preeti’s signature storytelling, that is based in the Bharatanatyam style of Indian dance, and incorporates so much more!
