Style: Hot Jazz, Swing
Dance Instructor: Margaret Batiuchok
DJ: Amos Rosenstein

Brooklyn-based chanteuse and jazz manouche specialist Tatiana Eva-Maria name-checks the famous Parisian Festival Jazz à Saint-Germain-des-Prés, a hothouse for the modern romantic jazz era of performance, with an evening of social dance evoking the soundtrack of the 1940s Latin Quarter. Renowned for her work as the lead vocalist for NYC's own Avalon Jazz Band, Eva-Marie has become an emissary for the sound of metropolitan France in the 1930s and ‘40s, where swing was an act of freedom for the rebellious young zazous of wartime Paris. Behind a repertoire of French chanson, hot jazz, and bop inspired by such luminaries as Django Reinhardt and Cole Porter, Tatiana and her combo will fill the dance floor with a musical mix of youthful nostalgia and irreverent joy.
