Ana Everling and her Chicago-based quartet make their New York debut at Lincoln Center’s free Festival of Firsts. Rooted in Eastern European folk traditions and shaped by improvisation, jazz, and experimental sound, Ana leads the ensemble with voice, looping, and live effects, setting ancient vocal textures against contemporary sonic treatments. Featuring Matt Gold on acoustic guitars, Hunter Diamond on woodwinds and percussion, and Kenny Reichert on electric guitar, the group explores a wide dynamic range—from ritual-inspired minimalism to lush, layered improvisation.
