Badi Assad and Pipo Romero

A veteran of the Kennedy Center, NY Guitar Festival, and Lilith Fair, the versatile Brazilian singer-songwriter Badi Assad has built an avid international audience on the strength of her joyous, enthralling live performances. The Spanish composer Pipo Romero's spectacular finger-style folk guitar chops, showcased on his newest album Ikigai, have him poised for his own turn as a breakout global sensation. These two powerhouse guitarists will share a one-of-a-kind double feature at Lincoln Center, showcasing new work to coincide with JanArts and APAP. In this show, the instrument of the guitar becomes an everlasting symbol of human identity and human ingenuity. Together, they will trade songs, virtuosic performance, and stories of unvarnished musical authenticity that you won't soon forget!
