Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Noah Weinman is the entrancing voice behind Runnner, an indie folk project that dives deep into the darker waters of longing, misunderstanding, and loss. Equally adept on banjo, guitar, piano, synths, and trumpet, Weinman has made creative leaps and bounds from his Bandcamp beginnings of foggy home recordings to his current more complexly produced, introspective soundscapes. His debut album on the Run For Cover label, 2023's like dying stars, we're reaching out, represents not only exposure to a broader audience but a dramatic evolution of the Runnner sound that Pitchfork calls "notably developed, prioritizing texture and nuance over the simpler, acoustic-forward approach of his earlier work... his songs explore breakdowns in communication and how we’re set adrift when words fail." Catch Runnner's Lincoln Center debut, where he'll share music from dying stars in its entirety.
