A poetic parade performance featuring Théâtre de la Dame de Coeur's giant puppets, Eria and Terrenis, Acupunk takes place at Lincoln Center's Josie Robertson Plaza for three days only. Metaphorically exploring the theme of earth’s healing through acupuncture, the two puppet characters use long poles to untie knots and rebalance subterranean energetic currents—and everything that is influenced on its surface, just like traditional acupuncture. The puppets perform a healing ritual accompanied by rhythmic music, creating a meaningful bond with the public: the healing of our planet! Acupunk is an innovative and vibrant performance that incorporates projections, multimedia, and LED lighting—one which will impress audiences of all ages.
