“It doesn't matter if you can sing, it doesn't matter if you're melodic, you are a vibrational being. We are a vibrational species. What we call ‘music’ now is our communicative contribution as a species on and to planet Earth -- and it's one of our best contributions of all.” -Toshi Reagon

Come sing with us this fall! Over four weeks, Soho Rep partners with an incredible coalition of artistic and civic centers across all five boroughs of New York City, including Lincoln Center on November 11. You’re Having Too Much Fun… So We’re Gonna Have to Kill You is a right-now story using the era of disco music to steep us in testimony and surface our glorious and soulful truths. Toshi Reagon teaches songs from this new work in process with special guests DJ Bill Coleman and Nona Hendryx. Yasmine Lee kicks off the evening with a pre-show disco dance class! This evening of music and fellowship is one thread of a larger project—Songs of the Living—culminating in an epic finale at Brooklyn Academy of Music on November 16.
